DE NEGATIVE 2026-09-08: an EXACT quoted DE name search for "Financial Trust Company" returns NO RECORDS FOUND. So there is no Delaware entity under that exact name — the register's DE attribution here is unsupported. Combined with the USVI sweep (only FINANCIAL TRUSTEES, LLC 553510 surfaced, NOT Financial Trust Company), the entity is absent from BOTH online indexes. Consistent with Epstein's Financial Trust Company being the historically USVI-domiciled personal holding company (moved to the VI ~1996 for the EDC tax benefit), dissolved/renamed before the post-2019 VI electronic registry — i.e., the pre-2019 VI coverage gap, not nonexistence. It is real and documented (named GP of the verified FAMILY INTERESTS, L.P.; VIEDC beneficiary). Cross-ref the VI row FINANCIAL TRUST COMPANY, INC. (VI). Likely the two rows are one entity mis-split DE/VI — flagged to consolidate, not merged yet. Stays verified=NO (registry-unlocated online).

USAO-SDFL PRIMARY SOURCE (added 2026-09-10): named on the U.S. Attorney's own 'list of the entities related to Jeffrey Epstein' in an Aug 27, 2007 letter in the federal grand-jury financial file, Case 08-80736-CV-MARRA (S.D. Fla.), Bates EFTA00227406. Government primary document corroborating the entity's Epstein association.

LITIGATION (expanded 2026-09-10): Plaintiff, with Jeffrey E. Epstein, in Financial Trust Company, Inc. v. Citibank, N.A. and Citigroup, Inc., Civ. No. 2002-108, 268 F. Supp. 2d 561 (D.V.I. June 19, 2003) (Moore, J.); 'FOR PUBLICATION' memorandum opinion also in the production at Bates EFTA00228100-00228105. FTC/Epstein alleged Citibank - Epstein's private bank of ~15 years, via VP Dsyle Davison (New York) - fraudulently induced two $10 million loans ($20 million total: the Aug 2, 1999 '1999 Note' and a June 15, 2000 second note) to invest through Salomon Smith Barney in an AIG Global Investment Corp. collateralized bond obligation and a Mass Mutual-managed fund, and concealed SSB's investment-banking conflict with AIG (Chase Manhattan was fund trustee; AIG held 28% of the income notes). Court retained jurisdiction in the Virgin Islands (transfer to New York denied), sustained the breach-of-fiduciary-duty and negligent-misrepresentation claims under V.I. law, and dismissed the fraud counts under Rule 9(b) with leave to amend. Citibank countersued for default on both notes in S.D.N.Y. (Citibank, N.A. v. Epstein, No. 02-CV-5332-SHS). Reported federal opinion; primary source, non-victim.

BROKERAGE RECORD (added 2026-09-10): Financial Trust Company Inc portfolio/brokerage account statement (period 2/1/2010-2/28/2010; $0 activity; account number redacted, entity name clear) in the federal production, Bates EFTA01555821.

WEXNER-STOCK TRUSTEE ROLE (added 2026-09-10, SEC 13D/A Amdt 31, Limited Brands): 'Financial Trust Company, Inc. is the trustee of Trust 600 and the R.H.R.E.I. Trust' - i.e., FTC is the corporate vehicle through which Jeffrey E. Epstein (its sole stockholder, director and president) holds Limited Brands stock in the Wexner ownership group: 3,300,568 shares via Trust 600 + 4,571,601 via R.H.R.E.I. Trust = 7,872,169 shares. JPMORGAN LIABILITY (added 2026-09-10, surgical strike, primary public source): JPMorgan Chase - which held Epstein/Financial Trust accounts (the 4,725 flagged wire transfers noted above) - settled the trafficking-facilitation claims arising from its Epstein banking relationship: $290 million with Epstein's victims (class settlement, June 2023) and $75 million with the U.S. Virgin Islands (Sept 26, 2023), the latter including a $10 million fund for mental-health services for survivors. The USVI Attorney General (Ariel M. Smith) described it as 'the first enforcement action filed against a bank for facilitating and profiting from human trafficking.' JPMorgan settled without admitting liability. Sources: USVI Dept. of Justice (usvidoj.com, $75M); JPMorgan victims settlement widely reported (June 2023).

NAMED IN THE SAC (added 2026-09-10, charter sec.11): named among the Epstein-enterprise entities in the USVI Second Amended Complaint (USVI v. JPMorgan Chase, No. 1:22-cv-10904, S.D.N.Y.) (listed as 'Financial Trust, Inc.'); the naming is recoverable from DOJ's defectively-redacted, publicly-preserved original (justice.gov / Internet Archive).

SAC JPMORGAN ACCOUNT MECHANICS (added 2026-09-10; institutional, non-victim): The USVI Second Amended Complaint (No. 1:22-cv-10904, S.D.N.Y.) alleges JPMorgan processed on the order of $1 billion for Epstein between 2003 and 2019 across at least 50 accounts held by Epstein-controlled entities - a group the complaint lists as including Financial Trust Company Inc. alongside Southern Trust Company, Southern Financial LLC, Hyperion Air Inc., C.O.U.Q. Foundation, the Butterfly Trust, HBRK Associates, JEGE, NES LLC, Plan D LLC, [withheld third party] Enterprises and Enhanced Education. Among the mechanics alleged: roughly $5 million in structured cash withdrawals; more than $120,000 converted into foreign currency between January 2012 and June 2013; and 95 foreign remittances with no known payee. Prosecutors characterized the bank as, in their words, a full-service bank for Epstein's operation. ALLEGATIONS in a public civil complaint (JPMorgan settled the victims' and USVI actions in 2023 without admitting liability, as noted above), not findings. Source: USVI v. JPMorgan SAC (justice.gov / court docket, No. 1:22-cv-10904), as reported by Courthouse News and the St. Thomas Source (2023).

SAC - ASSET CARRYING COSTS via JPMORGAN (added 2026-09-10; recovered from the defectively-redacted SAC per charter sec.11; institutional/asset-level, non-victim): Among the payments the recovered SAC text shows moving through Epstein's JPMorgan accounts are property taxes on his residences, paid from the accounts: Santa Fe of $106,394.60 (Nov 6, 2018) and $55,770.41 plus $113,679.56 (2017); New York City of $336,471.87 (2018) and $327,497.48 plus $6,487.04 (2017); and Palm Beach of $196,673.56 (Nov 6, 2018) and $191,941.52 (Oct 31, 2017) - roughly $1.33 million in disclosed property-tax payments. The recovered fragments do not attribute each payment to a specific holding entity, so none is assigned here; the institutional point is that the bank paid the personal carrying costs of Epstein's real estate from these accounts. Record from a public civil complaint. Source: USVI v. JPMorgan SAC, No. 1:22-cv-10904 (justice.gov; Internet Archive).

SENATE FINANCE REPORT 2026-08-04 - NAMED IN THE BLACK-PAYMENT STRUCTURE (added 2026-09-10; primary congressional source): The Senate Finance Committee report (Wyden, 2026-08-04) identifies Financial Trust Company Inc. among the Epstein entities that received Leon Black's payments to Epstein, via its accounts at JPMorgan Chase; the parallel entity Southern Trust Company received the larger share via Deutsche Bank (see that entity's page). This ties Financial Trust's JPMorgan relationship to the roughly $170 million Black-to-Epstein flow the report documents for 2012-2017. Primary congressional source.
